The Adams NetGuardian service allows users to manage content accessible from their Internet connection. Filtering is done by a server on the Adams network, no special software needs to be installed on the users’ computer* and each account can manage the types and locations of content to be filtered.
Users may also add specific web site addresses to always block or always allow. The account holder can create ‘override’ logins that can be used to temporarily disable some or all filtering as needed.
Filtering engines are updated daily with new sites, as discovered, and users can submit sites for inclusion in content filtering.
Using NetGuardian:
The default settings block pornography, adult content and child pornography, but the system allows users to define specific classes of content to either explicitly block or allow. These categories are:
