Adams Telephone Co-Operative sponsored a college scholarship program to award a $500 scholarship to a local high school senior.
The winner of this year’s scholarship is Jordan Cook. Jordan graduated from Central High School, and participated in numerous extracurricular and volunteer activities. His future plans include attending Quincy University, majoring in Computer Science. Jordan is the son of Martin and Carrie Cook.
“Adams Telephone Co-Operative historically has been very involved with our youth and schools from ensuring access to the technology needed today to providing opportunities such as our Scholarship and Youth to Washington programs,” comments James W. Broemmer, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Adams. “Our commitment to our communities begins with our young people.”
Information about the Adams Telephone Co-Operative’s annual scholarship for 2016 will be released late in the fall. Through Adams’ partnership with the Foundation for Rural Service, applicants have the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship of $500 or $2,500.
