Connecting our neighbors since 1952

We’re invested in our community, offering a 100% fiber broadband network, community service, and friendly, local support. We proudly deliver cutting-edge telephone and broadband internet services to areas where there was previously little or no coverage, and we’ve done it by continually improving and expanding technology while delivering personal, responsive service to every customer.

  • 1952

Formed by members of Adams Electric Cooperative who saw a need for rural telephone service. Officially became a separate cooperative on March 20, 1952.

  • 1954

Adams upgrades Lima, Loraine, Mendon, Meyer, and Ursa exchanges from switchboard systems to rotary-dial service.

  • 1956

Mindale and Paloma exchanges join the Cooperative.

  • 1957

Coatsburg exchange joins the Cooperative.

  • 1960s

Augusta, Chambersburg, Fishhook, Golden, Hersman, La Prairie, and Plymouth exchanges join the Cooperative.

  • 1970s

Single-party phone service becomes available across the entire Cooperative.

  • 1980s

Adams installs its first digital switch, introducing calling features for members.

  • 1990s

Adams introduces dial-up internet, along with long-distance and voicemail services for members.

  • 2000s

Introduced high speed internet using Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technology.

  • 2005

Began offering Fiber Internet to businesses in Quincy.

  • 2010

Launched a fiber-to-the-home project to transition the Cooperative to fiber optic technology.

  • 2019

Achieved 100% fiber-to-the-home across all Adams Telephone Co-Operative exchanges.

  • 2024

Adams Fiber receives the NTCA Smart Rural Community Showcase Award, recognizing innovation and growth in rural broadband services.

  • 2025

Adams Fiber launches the Smart Rural Community (SRC) Town Tour, celebrating all 30 communities it serves and their essential roles in the SRC network.
