Golden, IL—In recognition of the Cooperative’s 65th Anniversary, Adams employees will be participating in a “Good Deeds” campaign. The campaign will allow employees to give back to the local community by performing acts of community service or “Good Deeds”.
Jim Broemmer, CEO, notes, “Helping others is a core part of what we do here at Adams, and that’s why we want to recognize the “Good Deeds” that our employees do on a regular basis throughout the community and give others in our organization a chance to join in this initiative as well during this monumental year for our organization. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by giving back.”
Employees are wearing specially designed shirts for the campaign during their acts of service and will be spotlighted on Adams Facebook page and at the company’s Annual Meeting on September 13, 2017.
The goal is to perform 65 “Good Deeds” or various acts of community service to Adams Cooperative service area and the surrounding communities from June through December. Employees are excited about the opportunity and have already volunteered in support of the Quincy Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the Barry Library Summer Reading Program, and have made improvements at the Bailey Park in Camp Point.
Broemmer adds, “We’re looking forward to seeing how many people and local non-for-profit organizations we can positively impact and inspire with this campaign.”
