2026 Youth Tour Application

The Youth to Washington Contest is open to all area high school sophomores and juniors (members and non-members). Up to 34 finalists will travel as a group to Youth Day in Springfield on March 25, 2026 (tentative). During Youth Day, you will visit historical sites and meet students from across Illinois.

At the end of Youth Day, after brief interviews, four winners and two alternates will be announced! Winners will travel by charter bus June 15-22, 2026 for an all-expense paid tour of Washington, D.C.

Create lasting memories and friendships during the week-long tour! Visit the Civil War Battlefield at Gettysburg, Smithsonian Museums, George Washington’s home, Supreme Court, Arlington National Cemetery, the Holocaust Museum, among many other sites.

Your application must be submitted no later than Tuesday, February 17. Submit your application by our early bird deadline of Friday, February 6 and you’ll be entered to win a $25 prepaid debit card!

By completing and submitting this application, I verify my eligibility to attend Youth Day in Springfield. If chosen to participate as a Youth Day participant, I commit to the trip to Springfield. I also understand that if I should be selected as one of the winners of this contest, I would take the all-expense paid tour of Washington, D.C. Box must be checked by student completing application.
I hereby give my consent for the above named student to participate in the Youth to Washington contest and take the trip the Washington, D.C. if selected as a winner. Box must be checked by the parent or guardian of the above student.
