Adams TelSystems Inc. (Adams) was awarded a Connect Illinois Round 3 grant. Notice is hereby given that requests for proposals (RFPs) are being accepted for the stated project. Under this RFP, Adams will construct a fiber optic cable last mile broadband network consisting of approximately 57.15 miles of underground mainline fiber optic facilities within Adams County, Illinois.
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for outside construction services for the awarded Connect Illinois Round 3 grant project. The contractor must adhere to the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq.), Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/.01 et seq.), and Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/20-1 et seq.). Companies are encouraged to submit proposals even if they are unable to meet all requirements.
This RFP notice supersedes the “Advertisement for Bids for Fiber Optic Installation” published by Adams on August 7th, 2024. Please note that the grant’s project area, construction details, and project requirements previously publicized remain the same. The procurement for proposals has been changed from a sealed bid process to the RFP process.
